Boris Johnson received a record donation of £1m in November from the largest shareholder in defence company QinetiQ. Last week, the the Conservative Government awarded an £80 million contract to the same company.
Anyone who has worked for a large company knows they'll lose their job if they accept any significant gift from a supplier. It's obvious to all of us why suppliers offer such gifts. In his inaugural speech as Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak pledged a newfound "integrity and accountability". Instead we see shameless corruption becoming more rampant.
